Quick and Easy Rectangle Slippers
RECTANGLE SLIPPERS:
These slippers are a great beginner project for both knitters and crocheters. They are quick and easy to make.
The knit or crochet rectangle should be one centimeter longer than your foot and as wide as a string wrapped around the thickest part of your foot (arch area).
Then fold the rectangle on the long side.
Sew up the short seam on the one end. Weave in end.
Thread the darn needle with a long piece of yarn and weave that into the stitches on the other end of the rectangle. Start at one corner and weave it through to the other end.
Take both ends and pull it tight to gather into a toe end of your slipper. Knot to secure the gathered toe.
Thread your darn needle and sew up from gathered toe back as far as you want the foot opening to be.
Turn right side out.
